Hello! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to take a gander at my blog. I’ll try to make it worth your while and not bore you.
My name is Rebecca Lee Webb Ingersoll. There’s a story behind each one of those names, but they’re stories for another time. For now, you just need to know that these days I go by Becca. I’ve been thinking about launching my own blog for YEARS, and I finally decided that this is the year to attempt it.
I’m a Utah native who dreams about one day living in exotic places instead of just visiting them on vacation. I taught Jr. High and High School English for five and a half years. Then I moved on to what I thought was my dream job of being a school librarian for a couple of years. Now my often hectic schedule revolves around being a stay-at-home mom to twin 5-year-old boys.
There are a LOT of things that I love and find interesting. I LOOOOOVE reading. Go figure, right?! A former English teacher/librarian who loves to read?! I also love writing–once again, no shock there. In addition to my love of reading and writing, my mom made sure that I love crafting. Even though I don’t get to do it enough, crafting always makes my day and makes me feel so accomplished.
There’s a bright side to not having enough time to craft as much as I’d like, though. It means I can participate in another one of my favorite hobbies: shopping! Shopping for home decor, shopping for craft supplies that may some day be used, shopping for books to add to my already-overflowing bookshelves, shopping for clothes=Good times. A few of my other favorite things are traveling, playing games, discovering new favorite restaurants, attending theatre productions, watching movies, binge-watching TV series, and napping.
I’ve been married to my college sweetheart, Josh, for sixteen years. He is, hands-down, my best friend. I can’t imagine life without him–at least I really, really don’t want to. He is my personal sounding board, cheerleader, comedian, and eternal companion. Together, Josh and I have two adorable cats–one fluffy and one not-so-fluffy.
Most importantly, though, Josh and I have twin boys, Lincoln and Logan. We prayed for them for years as we battled infertility. Finally, our prayers were answered, and I got pregnant in August of 2016. As is always the case, our trials weren’t over. Link and LA decided to make their grand entrance into the world in January of 2017…at 23 weeks 6 days gestation. Just to clarify, that means they were four months early. To say the beginning of their lives was difficult would be an understatement, but they are our miracle babies. Click on “About My Twins” to read more about them. I know I’m biased, but they’re pretty darn amazing.
